Welcome to our day on the Summer Time Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you here and we hope that you enjoy our recipe and pattern!
Out here in Southern California our summers can be HOT so we love to include cool, refreshing foods with our meals. This sweet and tangy fruit salad is a great addition to any meal – breakfast, lunch, or dinner and is soooo yummy we even have it for dessert sometime.
We mix mangos, kiwis, and blueberries together and top with a delicious lime syrup and sprinkling of crystalized ginger. Check out Stacy’s blog for the recipe card.
The pattern we have featured today is just as sweet as our tasty fruit salad! A juicy summer strawberry needle keep to hold all of your needles and pins, perfect for those summertime road trips.
We wanted to share Kathy’s latest wool design! These fun little sewing “pockets” with a snappy top debuted to an enthusiastic crowd at the Spring International Quilt Market. Ever since, the patterns have been selling out as fast as we can print them! There are three different designs in the series so far: The Penny Pocket, Pocket Full of Posies, and Seeds For Sewing. I’m sure you can guess which one is which…
Kathy says, “I love to have pockets on whatever I’m wearing for all those little things I like to keep close at hand. Well that doesn’t always work. Pin rests aren’t always the best choice for a pocket, so I decided to design a pocket that I could take anytime, anywhere that would be not only versatile but fun and all ready to go with a matching pin rest and needle keep. All I need to do is add my current project needs, my favorite threads, scissors and thimble and I am ready to take my pocket with me where ever I’m going.”
